SANYA Offshore Oil and Gas Research Institute of Northeast Petroleum University is a new institution with an independent legal personality established in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City on February 2, 2021. It is in response to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on building a powerful marine power, comprehensively connect with the national energy strategy, and give full play to the advantages of Northeast Petroleum University's petroleum disciplines. The establishment of the Research Institute is mainly to carry out scientific research and cultivate high-level talents such as doctoral and master’s degree for offshore oil and gas in the South China Sea. At present, the Research Institute has one academician workstation and two postdoctoral workstations at the same time it also has nine research centers, including the deep-sea basin structure and resource evaluation research center, marine oil and gas geological engineering integration research center, marine oil and gas efficient development and enhanced oil recovery research center, deep-sea oil and gas drilling and completion engineering and stimulation research center, offshore oil equipment and safety inspection research center, deep-water oil and gas and hydrate production research center, marine energy and Environment Research Center, the marine oil and gas artificial intelligence research center, and the smart city construction research center. The Research Institute has 80 permanent staff, 62 part-time scientific researchers, and 50 doctoral and postgraduate students. Relying on Northeast Petroleum University, it has one provincial and ministerial co-construction state key laboratory cultivation base, two provincial and ministerial co-construction key laboratories of the Ministry of education, one national energy research and development center, one National Engineering Laboratory (Laboratory), 12 provincial key laboratories, and three provincial technological innovation centers, including the Provincial Key Laboratory of hydrate exploration and development. The Research Institute can be able to undertake scientific research work in the direction of offshore oil and gas exploration and development, hydrate exploration and development, etc.

The school signed an agreement with two academicians, Jia Chengzao and Yang Shufeng, and set up an academician workstation.

Ⅰ. Category A doctoral students

(1) Selection conditions

1. The age is not more than 40 years old in principle;

2. Have a good background in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and have obtained doctoral degrees or post-doctorates from well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad, such as: well-known overseas universities (the top 200 universities in the world university rankings published by The Times) or the subject is ranked in the top 100 of ESI subjects), or graduated from Peking University, or Tsinghua University with a doctorate (the undergraduate and master schools are established as world-class universities); or have certain academic contributions and academic influence in this subject field, and are expected to obtain the landmark achievements of major scientific and technological innovation, such as: publishing ESI highly cited papers, or publishing papers in "Science", "Nature" and its sub-journals; or no less than 3 papers in T1 category of SCI Region 1 and China High Quality Science and Technology Journal Classification Catalogue (1 paper in T1 category is limited); or other excellent doctorates with the academic level equivalent to the above or who can complete the agreed job responsibilities.

(2) Talent treatment

1. Settlement fee of 300,000 to 400,000;

Research start-up funds and platform construction fees for natural sciences shall not be less than 150,000;

2. Enjoy the salary of an associate professor in the school, and the first application for an associate senior professional and technical position is not subject to quota restrictions;

3. Provide housing and living allowances in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology Park;

4. According to the relevant documents of the Institute, solve the work of the spouse of the worker.

Ⅱ. Category B doctoral students

(1) Selection conditions

1. The age is not more than 40 years old in principle;

2. Have a good background in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and have obtained doctoral degrees or post-doctoral degrees from well-known domestic and foreign universities and research institutes, such as those who graduated from world-class universities and colleges with world-class disciplines; or have great development potential in teaching and research, and have the ability to obtain national-level projects, such as: in the field of natural sciences, in the past five years, have published 1 paper in SCI Zone 1 or above in SCI Zone 2, or there are no less than 3 T1 papers in the grading catalogue of high-quality scientific and technological journals in China (only 1 T1 paper), and more than 3 papers published in the humanities and social sciences in the past five years have been included in CSSCI, SSCI, A&HCI, CSCD, etc.(there should be no less than 2 articles in CSSCI source journals); or other excellent doctorates with the academic level equivalent to the above or who can complete the agreed job responsibilities.

(2) Talent treatment

1. Settling fees 250,000 to 300,000;

Research start-up funds and platform construction fees for natural sciences shall not be less than 120,000;

2. Provide housing subsidies and living subsidies in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology Park;

3. According to the relevant documents of the institute, solve the spouse's work.

Ⅲ. Category C doctoral students

(1) Selection conditions

1. The age is not more than 40 years old in principle;

2. Have a good postgraduate education background, such as: a doctorate graduate from a world-class university or a world-class discipline in a university with first-class discipline; or have good teaching and research development potential, and have the ability to obtain provincial and ministerial-level projects, such as: in the field of natural sciences, in the past five years, have published 1 paper in SCI Zone 1 or above in SCI Zone 2, or there are no less than 3 T1 papers in the grading catalogue of high-quality scientific and technological journals in China (only 1 T1 paper), and more than 3 papers published in the humanities and social sciences in the past five years have been included in CSSCI, SSCI, A&HCI, CSCD, etc.(there should be no less than 2 articles in CSSCI source journals); or other excellent doctorates with the academic level equivalent to the above or who can complete the agreed job responsibilities.

(2) Talent treatment

1. Settling fees 200,000 to 250,000;

Research start-up funds and platform construction fees for natural sciences shall not be less than 90,000;

2. Provide housing subsidies and living subsidies in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology Park.

Ⅳ. Category D doctoral students

(1) Selection conditions

1. The age is not more than 40 years old in principle;

2. Possess good teaching and research capabilities, and have a doctorate degree from a first-class university in each province, a first-class discipline in a first-class discipline-building university, or an industry-specific discipline or major that is compatible with the development of our school, or a discipline or major that is in short supply, or an excellent doctorate who can complete the responsibilities of the agreed position.

(2) Talent treatment

1. Settling fees 150,000 to 200,000;

Research start-up funds and platform construction fees for natural sciences are not less than 50,000;

2. Provide housing subsidies and living subsidies in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology Park.
